ACB arrests JMC junior clerk for taking bribe
The accused, Jagdish Sain, allegedly demanded bribe for issuing a lease deed of a house. The ACB is investigating whether he was taking the bribe at behest of some senior officer.

Jaipur: Rajasthan anti-corruption bureau (ACB) on Tuesday arrested a junior clerk of Jaipur Municipal Corporation after he was allegedly caught taking a bribe of Rs 20,000. The clerk was posted in JMC’s Amer Zone. The accused, Jagdish Sain, allegedly demanded bribe for issuing a lease deed of a house. The ACB is investigating whether he was taking the bribe at behest of some senior officer.
According to IG, ACB Sachin Mittal, one Shyam Sharma approached the agency and registered a complaint against Jagdish Sain. “The complainant told us that he had approached Jagdish for issuing the lease deed of his house. Jagdish promised that he would get the job done if Shyam Sharma paid him Rs 80,000,” said the officer.
The ACB verified the complaint and when found it genuine, they laid a trap.
“Jagdish was arrested while accepting the first installment of the bribe money. An ACB team led by add SP Alok Sharma caught him red-handed while he was Rs 20,000 from our complainant,” said the officer.
The ACB has registered an FIR under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act and said that the accused would be produced in a court on Wednesday. Further investigation is going on.
