4-month-old boy kidnaped from SMS Hospital in Jaipur

JAIPUR: A 4-month-old boy was kidnapped from Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur. The kidnapped boy was with his grandparents who were visiting SMS Hospital for the treatment of the boy’s elder brother.

The kidnapper came close to the family on the pretext that they would not get proper treatment at the government hospital, so he could take the patient to a better doctor. He in fact made them visit a nearby private hospital with the medical records and see a doctor there.

The boy, identified as Divyansh, was with his grandfather Kaluram. Kaluram was having dinner with Divyansh sitting nearby.

A youth in jeans and a t-shirt kidnapped him. When Kaluram realized that the boy was missing, he launched a frantic search for him, but to no avail.

The incident took place on Wednesday. There is no trace of the boy even after 24 hours.

Kaluram, a resident of Chandrana in Dausa, has lodged an FIR alleging that Divyansh was kidnapped by an unknown man.

Kaluram had come to Dausa with his wife Dholi Devi, and his two grandsons Ayush and Divyansh on July 24. Ayush had a spine problem and was admitted to the hospital for treatment. The daughter-in-law Khela Devi who is Divyansh’s mother was also in the hospital.

The 30-year-old man, suspected of kidnapping the boy, had a conversation with Divyansh’s grandmother in a nearby park around 12:30 pm on Wednesday. The man told her that his brother also has the same problem as Ayush, but was treated by a good doctor.

The kidnapper took the grandparents to Dr. Bhaskar at Surya Hospital located near SMS Hospital along with the medical reports of Ayush.

The man came close to the grandparents. He in fact took the boy from the grandmother so that she could get food from Indira Rasoi.

The man kidnapped the boy from Barngar in SMS Hospital. The police have launched a search for the kidnaper and the boy.
