Rajasthan high court asks BJP government to submit details of Gaurav Yatra expenditures
The matter came up for hearing two days after the government submitted its response. The government was asked to submit an affidavit by August 20.

Jaipur: The Rajasthan High Court on Saturday asked the BJP to submit details of the expenses incurred on Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra by August 20. The matter came up for hearing two days after the government submitted its response. The court has now asked the government to submit details of expenditure with an affidavit by August 20.
A petition accusing the government of misusing tax payer’s money for Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra was argued before the bench of Chief Justice Pradeep Nandrajog on Saturday.
The bench has ordered the BJP to submit the details of the party’s expenditure during the Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra being currently taken out by chief minister Vasundhara Raje. The government had already submitted its argument before the court on August 16.
The state government argued that Gaurav Yatra is being organized by the party, not the government. The government’s money is not being used for the yatra, so the petition should be quashed.
The administration is providing security to the CM and ministers during the yatra as per the protocol, the government lawyers argued. The chief minister is taking out the tour to apprise people of the government schemes. The yatra is a part of the party’s election campaigning.
Petitioners – Dr. Vibhuti Bhushan Sharma and Sawai Singh – cited orders of Public Works Department (PWD) dated June 1. In the orders, the state government instructed all the departments to make arrangements for the chief minster’s tour. Misuse of the government’s money in Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra shouldn’t be allowed, the petitioners argued.
