A mysterious black object, being assumed by villagers to a meteorite (ulka pind), fell on an agriculture land in Bhankrota area of Jaipur with a loud thud on Monday night.

Jaipur: A mysterious black object, being assumed by villagers to a meteorite (ulka pind), fell on an agriculture land in Bhankrota area of Jaipur with a loud thud on Monday night. The local residents saw the object lying in a one-foot deep pit in the morning and informed the police. The police have informed the archaeological department. The object looked like a black stone or coal. The discovery led to several kinds of rumors in the village.

The object was found in Mukundpura village. The farm where it landed belongs to one Banshi Bagada.

The villagers said that many of them heard a loud thud on Monday night, but they didn’t pay much attention.

When they woke up in the morning and went to the farm, they found the object.

As the news spread in the village, a huge crowd of villagers gathered there.

“It weights around four kg. We informed the police following which a team from Bhankrota police station rushed there. They have sent it for a scientific examination,” said a villager.
