Cop, prof among 84 nabbed from Jaipur resort; Casino party busted in police raid

Illegal dance party and casino games was busted at a farmhouse near Jaipur.
JAIPUR: A crime branch team of the Jaipur police commissionerate raided a farmhouse in Jaisinghpura Khor on the outskirts of Jaipur and busted an illegal high-profile party where a large number of youths including girls were found playing casino games.
The casino games were being played in the guise of a dance party. Those who were arrested include a Karnataka police inspector, Bengaluru tehsilar and a professor.
The raid took place around 2 am on Sunday at Saipura Bagh Hotel & Resort. As many as 84 people including 14 girls were taken into custody. The police seized 20 luxury cars. A cash amount of Rs 23 lakh was recovered from the spot.
The police got a tip-off about the dance party and raided the farmhouse. The online casino games were being played on five different tables. Many youths were also found smoking hookah and consuming liquor. It has come up during preliminary investigation that no permission was sought from the excise department for the liquor party.
Nearly 20 luxury cars and cash has been seized from the farmhouse. Sources said that these types of dance parties are common at the farmhouses located on the city outskirts.
CI Khaleel Ahmed of the Crime Branch team said that Kishan, a resident of Motidungri, Jaipur, had arranged for food and drink atthe event. The police Seized 9 hookahs, 7 casino tables, 44 IMFL bottles, 66 beer bottles, 14 luxury cars and 1 truck and Rs 23.71 lakh.
The manager of the resort, Manoj Soni, has also been arrested. During interrogation, it has come to light that Delhi resident Naresh Malhotra alias Rahul alias Bablu and his son Manvesh had arranged the event.
Meerut resident Manish Sharma organized the event from Nepal. Manish has contacts with gamblers in different cities of the country. He has organized many similar in different cities of the country. Most of the arrested accused are from Telangana, Haryana, Punjab, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Maharashtra.
