Kota: Kota – the hub for medical and engineering coaching – taught a lesson on sanitation to the country on Friday. More than 50,000 coaching students and local residents made a world record by cleaning the entire Kota city within two hours.

The majority of these students were not even from Kota. Students from Kashmir to Kanyakumari participated in this drive. The citizens included members of various social, professional, religious, administrative and educational institutions.

Under the mega drive, all the 65 wards of the Kota Municipal Corporation were cleaned. A total of 100 locations were targeted. The locations included playgrounds, hospitals, government offices, police stations, national highways and educational institutions.

Mayor Mahesh Vijay along with the students took the oath of cleanliness. After this, the students took placards in their hands with a Clean Kota-Healthy Kota slogan. The students also showed the slogan of Clean India-Healthy India, Clean Kota-Healthy Kota to make everyone aware about the cleanliness.

The drive was so impactful that people ventured out of their houses to clean surrounding areas.

“Kota youths came forward to give a message about cleanliness and sanitation. The Municipal Corporation of Kota is grateful to everyone for joining this campaign,” mayor Mahesh Vijay said after the drive.
