4 toll plaza employees arrested for stalling Rajasthan governor’s cavalcade

They were booked for disrupting government work.

Jaipur: Bundi police on Monday arrested four employees of Kishorpura toll plaza on NH-12 including its manager for stalling the cavalcade of Rajasthan governor Kalyan Singh for nearly an hour.

One of the vehicles belonged to the governor; however he was not in the vehicle. As part of the protocol, the cavalcade should have been cleared at the toll plaza immediately, but the toll employees engaged the security officials in a verbal argument. The police have booked the four men for disrupting government w0rk. The chief minister’s office also intervened.

Governor Kalyan Singh is scheduled to reach Kota on Tuesday.

The cavalcade officials showed governor office ID cards to the toll plaza employees, but despite that they started a verbal argument. They stalled the cavalcade for nearly an hour.

The cavalcade officials then informed the Governor House following which senior police officials informed the Bundi police.

A police team from the local police station reached the spot and arrested toll plaza manager Ajit Singh, supervisor Rohit Kumar, Narendra Singh and Giriraj for disrupting government work.
