4 of family killed as jeep collides with bus in Jodhpur
The victims were returning from a doctor's retirement program.

JAIPUR: Four elderly members of a family were killed, while one was critically injured when the jeep they were travelling collided with a bus in Jodhpur.
The victims, aged between 60 and 70, were returning home after attending a retirement program organized for a well-known doctor. The incident occurred on Saturday around 4 pm in the Boranada area of Jodhpur.
According to ACP Jaiprakash Atal, the control room received information about the collision between the jeep and the bus in the Boranada area on the Jodhpur-Barmer highway at 4 pm.
The jeep collided with a private bus near Bhandu. Upon receiving the news, the police arrived at the accident site and, with the assistance of bystanders, rushed the injured to MDM (Mathuradas Mathur) Hospital.
ADM Rajendra Daga stated that one person from the jeep was pronounced dead on the spot, while the four injured individuals were transported to the hospital.
Three of them were declared brought dead upon arrival, while Bhuraram, one of the injured victims, remains in critical condition and has been admitted to AIIMS.
The entire affected family is associated with the medical profession. The deceased victims were identified as Laxmanram (65), Bhikharam (70) son of Navalaram, Bhikharam (65) son of Dalaram, and Ganeshram (68) son of Trilokram. They resided in Silvata village under the jurisdiction of Boranada police station. Navalaram and Dalaram were biological brothers, while Trilokram was their cousin.
As soon as news of the accident spread, relatives and loved ones of the injured rushed to Mathuradas Mathur Hospital.
MLA of Luni assembly constituency Mahendra Vishnoi visited the accident site and offered condolences to the bereaved family members. Former MLA Jogaram Patel also paid a visit to the hospital, inquiring about Bhuraram’s condition and offering comfort to the family members during this difficult time.
