4 friends die in tragic road accident in Dausa
Jaipur: Four friends were killed, while two others were seriously injured when the car they were travelling in collided with a pick-up on the Manoharpur-Kothum highway in Dausa district on Tuesday. The friends who belonged to Kanpur district in Uttar Pradesh were on their way to Khatushyam Ji temple to offer prayers. The condition of the injured victim is stated to be critical.
The incident took place near Bapi village in Santhal police station area of Dausa district around 4.30 am. A police officer at Santhal police station said that there were five friends in the car. All of them belonged to Namasta area of Kanpur district. They had left home at 11 am on Monday to visit Khatushyam temple in Sikar district. Their car collided with a pick-up near Bapi village.
Police suspect that both the vehicles were over-speeding at the time of the accident. The collision was so intense that the car as well as the pickup were severely damaged. All the five friends got trapped in the car. Some passers-by informed the police following which a team was rushed there and a rescue operation was launched. With the help of the local residents, the police pulled out the victims trapped in the car and rushed them to the district hospital for treatment. The doctors declared four of the victims dead on arrival.
One of the five friends is still undergoing treatment. The driver of the pick-up also sustained injuries and was admitted to the hospital. They have been referred to SMS Hospital in Jaipur due to their critical condition. The senior police officers of the area rushed to the spot and launched an investigation.
