3 sustain burns as apartment building catches fire in Mansarovar

Vehicles parked in the basement of the building including three bikes and two bicycles were completely gutted.

Fire broke out at a three-storied apartment building in Mansarovar area of Jaipur on Tuesday morning.

Jaipur: Three people sustained burn injuries when a fire broke out at a three-storied apartment building in Mansarovar area of Jaipur on Tuesday morning. The incident happened at 42/78 builidng on Varun path near Mansarovar Police station. Vehicles parked in the basement of the building including three bikes and two bicycles were completely gutted. Fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the fire. Fire operators rescued 12 people trapped in the building due to the incident. Fire fighters from different fire stations rushed to the spot after receiving the information. Police and medical teams reached the spot. The fire fighting operation went on for a few hours and the fire was controlled. It engulfed the whole building. According to the officials, some locals called the control room to give information about the incident. The teams rushed to the spot and started to control the fire. The apartment building got completely gutted. Rescue teams evacuated people from the building. No loss of life was reported. The reason for the fire is being ascertained, said police. The injured people identified as Pandit Suresh Sharma, Naman Sharma, and Bhagwan Das Manmani were rushed to hospital for treatment.

Injured Bhagwan Das Manmani,  Pandit Suresh Sharma and Naman Sharma sustained burns in the fire accident.

Further investigation is going on, police said.
