3 die as car rams into truck on Jaipur-Delhi national highway

The two deceased have been identified as Avneesh Agarwal (68) and his wife - professor Vimla Singhal, residents of NRI colony in Jaipur. The other deceased is Dr. Arvind Palsania, a resident of Sector 27 in Gurgaon and friend of Agarwal’s son Rishi Kumar. Arvind recently got married.

Jaipur:  Three people including a woman died when their car crashed into a truck parked on the roadside on Jaipur-Delhi national highway on Sunday morning. The driver of the car identified as Gurgaon resident Afiq survived due to the airbags. He got seriously injured and his treatment is going on.

The two deceased have been identified as Avneesh Agarwal (68) and his wife – professor Vimla Singhal, residents of NRI colony in Jaipur.  The other deceased is Dr. Arvind Palsania, a resident of Sector 27 in Gurgaon and friend of Agarwal’s son Rishi Kumar. Arvind recently got married.

According to the police, Avneesh Agarwal and Vimla Singhal, son’s Rishi Kumar works in Gurgaon. The duo went Gurgaon to meet him. While returning to Jaipur, they booked train tickets but there was no vacancy. They then went to the bus stand, when Rishi’s friend Dr. Arvind Palsania was passing by in a car on his way to Jaipur.

Palsania offered Avneesh and his wife Vimla to drop him, added police.

The reason as to what caused the accident is yet to be determined.

Police rushed to the spot after receiving the information and took bodied to the mortuary. The bodies were handed over to the family members after the post mortem examinations.

As per the locals, the accident was so intense that the car was completely damaged. It took the police a long time to pull the bodies out of the car. The accident led to a heavy traffic jam on Delhi-Jaipur highway.
