293 new COVID-19 cases reported in Rajasthan, 27 in Jaipur

Jaipur: The number of coronavirus cases continues to increase in Rajasthan. On Sunday, the state reported 293 COVID-19 cases. Of them, 27 were reported in Jaipur. The total number of cases in the state has gone up to 12,694, while there are 2836 active cases.

The state reported 10 more deaths. The death toll has reached 292. The following areas in Jaipur district reported new cases on Monday:

  • Chandpole – 1
  • Kotputali – 1
  • Panno Ka Dariba – 3
  • Sodala – 1
  • Sanganer – 2
  • Bas Badnampura – 1
  • Jhamota – 1
  • Bhramapuri – 1
  • Shashtri Nagar – 2
  • Tripolia Bazaar – 1
  • Ghat Gate – 1
  • Jawahar Nagar – 4
  • Tonk Phatak – 1
  • Ramganj Mod – 1
  • Tusalidas Marg – 1
  • Shivaji Nagar – 1

The police continue to impose restrictions on the movement of people in areas where fresh cases are being reported. In Panno Ka Dariba areas of Subhash Chowk where 26 people living in a house tested positive, the police has clamped curfew in a radius of 1 km. It came up during preliminary investigation that a woman who lived in the house as a tenant developed COVID-19 symptoms following which her samples were collected. The report came in a few days later and in the meantime, the woman continued to be in contact with other tenants in the house despite the fact that she had been put under home quarantine.
