2 electrocuted, 3 injured in Harmara while putting up posters on electricity poles

five men near Harmada area of Jaipur were placing posters of Lord Krishna on streets and poles for the upcoming festivities of Janmashtami. While placing posters, they came in the contact with overhead electricity wires and suffered a shock.

Jaipur: Two men were electrocuted while three others were injured when they came in contact with high-tension overhead electricity wires while putting up posters on a pole near Harmada area in Jaipur on Thursday night.

The five men were rushed to Sawai Man Singh (SMS) hospital. Doctors declared two of them dead on arrival. The other three men are in a critical condition and undergoing treatment at SMS Hospital.

Police and officials of Jaipur Vidhyut Vitaran Nigam (JVVNL) reached the spot after getting the information.

The two deceased men have been identified as Lalchand Regar and Ajay Verma, residents of Chatarpura village in Harmada. The other men are Bansidhar Regar, Sanjay Verma, Gambhir of the same village. The three are treatment is undergoing at SMS hospital of Jaipur.
