Jaipur: A picnic for two Delhi residents turned into a nightmare when their SUV plunged into a gorge from Nahargarh Fort hills in Jaipur on Tuesday morning.
The two people sitting in the Scorpio were rushed to a hospital where they are undergoing treatment. The car was completely damaged after the incident. The victims are the residents of Delhi and came to visit the Nahargarh Fort.
The victims have been identified as Vaibhav and Dhananjay, residents of Delhi. The incident happened before the Jaigarh Fort turn on Nahargarh Road.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the two came to visit the Nahargarh fort in the morning. While returning from the fort, their car went out of control and fell off into the gorge.
The crowd gathered around the spot and locals informed the police after the incident. Police rushed to the spot and took Vaibhav and Dhananjay to the nearby hospital.
The victims’ treatment is going on in the hospital. Family members have been informed. Nahargarh Police are further investigating the case.
Nahargarh Road of Jaipur has witnessed several accidents in the past. It is the most prone area for road accidents and mishaps. Police have warned the visitors to avoid rash and unsafe driving at night and early morning on the Nahargarh Road.
