15-year-old boy brutally kills elderly woman in Sikar for not returning cricket balls

The teen killed the woman, identified as Rama Devi (65), because she never returned the balls that mistakenly used to land in her house, when children played cricket in the colony.

Jaipur: A 15-year-old boy brutally murdered an elderly woman living in his neighborhood by attacking her multiple times with a knife in Sikar district on Wednesday. Police detained the minor boy and produced him in the Juvenile Justice Board on Thursday. The incident happened at Nayako Ka Mohalla in Rajasthan.

According to the preliminary investigation, the teen killed the woman, identified as Rama Devi (65), because she never returned the ball that mistakenly used to land in her house, when children played cricket in the colony. This happened several times due to which the 15-year-old boy killed the woman.

The boy, a class 10th student, was living with his grandfather in the same colony.

According to the police, the boy barged into the woman’s house on Wednesday and attacked her with the knife multiple times. She screamed and fell unconscious. The boy fled away from the spot. He hid his bloodstained clothes in his room and changed his clothes. He went to his school to appear in his exams on Thursday.

The locals called the police after spotting the body and rushed the woman to a nearby hospital. The aged woman died while undergoing treatment in hospital.

A police team inspected the woman’s house and found blood stains in the balcony of the house. They followed the blood stains and reached the boy’s house. They found the blood-stained clothes in the boys’ room under the bed, said police.

Police took the accused boy into custody after he returned from his school. Police questioned the teen and found out how he murdered the woman.
