12 Pakistani nationals detained for visa violations in Sriganganagar

The 12 were detained when the police received information about some Pakistani nationals traveling from Sriganganagar to Anupgarh without proper permission. The agencies were informed that their visa had expired.

Jaipur: Twelve Pakistani citizens including men, women, and children have been arrested for visa violation near Suratgarh area of Sriganganagar in Rajasthan on Thursday. They were arrested from the Sarupsar railway station of Jaitsar town in Sriganganagar. Investigative agencies received information related to their stay even after their visa had expired.

The 12 were detained when the police received the information on some Pakistani nationals traveling from Sriganganagar to Anupgarh without proper permission. The agencies were informed that the duration of their Visa had expired.

Police reached Jaitsar police station and caught the Pakistani nationals.

As per preliminary reports, the duration of their visa has ended, but they still did not leave for Pakistan. Further investigation is going on.

According to police, the 12 Pakistani citizens including women, men and children came to India for a pilgrimage on Pakistani Visa. They went to visit Haridwar. They were on their way to Anupgarh when the Jaitsar police caught them at Sarupsar railway station.

The investigative teams and police are quizzing the Pakistani nationals. They came to India a few days ago but did not have permission to visit Rajasthan, as per sources.

A similar case was reported in Sriganganagar a few months ago. 11 Pakistani nationals were detained however they were later released.
