JAIPUR: A new twist has emerged in the case of a 26-year-old man’s fatal fall from the fourth floor of an apartment in Jaipur two months ago. The mother of the deceased, Ibrar Ashiq, a resident of Sanjay Nagar Bhattabasti, now alleges that her son’s friends are responsible for his death, claiming they threw him from the balcony.
The incident took place on February 2 when Ibrar visited friends at an apartment in the Jhotwara area. He fell from the fourth-floor balcony at around 10 pm. Neighbors who heard the commotion rushed him to Kavatia Hospital in critical condition, where doctors declared him dead.
Following the post-mortem, the police handed over the body to the relatives. Ibrar’s mother, Shamila, subsequently filed a complaint against her son’s friend Rizwan, his wife Munni, and another individual named Chandni, accusing them of murder.
Shamila claims that the three suspects murdered Ibrar by throwing him off the back balcony of the apartment. She cites inconsistencies in their accounts of the events leading to her son’s death, with explanations ranging from Ibrar falling while feeding pigeons to jumping in anger after a quarrel.
In response to Shamila’s allegations, Jhotwara police have registered a case of murder and destruction of evidence. They have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding Ibrar’s tragic fall.
