Young couple commits suicide by jumping in front of train in Kho Nagorian

Jaipur: A young couple committed suicide by jumping in front of a train in Kho-Nagorian area of the city late on Sunday. The man and the girl were holding hands and didn’t budget even when the train driver blew horns on seeing them on the tracks. Their mutilated bodies have been put in the mortuary of a hospital. The cops are trying to identify them.

Police said that the incident took place near the Dantali railway crossing in the Goner Road area around 11 pm on Sunday. The man is about 30-32 years old, while the girl is aged 22-25. The girl was wearing a bracelet with Pinki written on them.

Police suspect that both were in a relationship. However, police said that what caused them to take the extreme step will be known after they are identified. The police are approaching the owners of paying guest facilities and landlords in the area to identify the victims.

“As per the train driver, he saw the couple standing on the tracks. They were holding hands. He blew the horn, but they didn’t budget. It was too late for the driver to stop the train. Both died on the spot. Their bodies are in JNU Hospital’s mortuary. A postmortem examination will be conducted after we identify the victims and inform their family members,” said a police officer.
