In this guide, you will learn about the new coverage limit and also who is eligible to apply for the scheme benefit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>New Coverage Limit for Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The new coverage limit has been increased to Rs 10 lakh. Earlier the limit was Rs 5 lakh. The limit was increased in the state budget 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Who can apply for the scheme?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Everyone except for government employees is eligible to apply to get health insurance coverage under the scheme. You will get the coverage whether you are living in a rural area or an urban area. The annual premium of Rs 850 per family has to be paid to the government to get health insurance of up to Rs 10 lakh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Families from certain segments are excepted from paying the annual premium. They include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>small and marginal farmers<\/li><li>contract workers<\/li><li>destitute and helpless families affected by Covid-19<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The premium for these families will be paid by the state government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government employees are not eligible to apply for Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme. The reason is that they already get health insurance under the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS).
