While about 50,000 tourists visited Jaipur on Saturday, the tourism experts said that the number could go up to 1 lakh or even more on Sunday and Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The country is celebrating \u2018Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav\u2019 and the government has announced that entry to all the ASI-protected monuments and sites would be free. The offer is from August 13 to August 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOn Saturday, over 10,000 people visited Amer Fort, 15,000 Jantar Mantar and 18,000 Hawa Mahal. Many roads leading to these monuments were completely jammed. The people got stuck in traffic congestions,\u201d said an officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The situation was more or less the same for Jaigarh, Nahargarh and other tourist attractions in and around the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe traffic congestion started around 9.30 am and continued throughout the day. Sometimes it would take almost 2-3 hours to reach Amer Fort from Ajmeri Gate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cJaipur has witnessed a record of arrival tourists. The primary reason is that there were weekends and holidays. Since Jaipur is known for forts and monuments and entry to them is free, the city attracted more tourists than other nearby destinations,\u201d said the officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the monuments and heritage sites where the tourists are getting free entry include: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Amer Fort <\/li><li>Jaigarh Fort <\/li><li>Nahargarh Fort <\/li><li>Jantar Mantar <\/li><li>Albert Hall
