Jaipur: A 25-year-old youth, pursuing MBBS in SMS Medical College in Jaipur, committed suicide by hanging himself in his room at Kothari Hostel on the college premises. His body was spotted by his hostel mates on Saturday morning following which the police were informed. The body has been kept in the mortuary of the SMS Hospital for a post-mortem examination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The student, identified as Aman, was a resident of Himachal Pradesh. He was a third-year MBBS student at the prestigious SMS Medical College. It is suspected that he committed suicide late on Friday. His family members have been informed by the police. They were on their way to Jaipur, according to preliminary reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He hanged himself using a bedsheet in his hostel room. When he didn\u2019t come out of the room till around 10 am on Saturday and didn\u2019t answer repeated calls from his friends, they knocked on the door of his room. They didn\u2019t receive any response. They got suspicious and peeked into the room through a ventilator. They saw Aman hanging and informed the police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Local police officials rushed to the spot along with an FSL team. A forensic examination of the room was conducted and evidence was collected by the team. It was yet unclear whether the police found a suicide note. The police said what caused him to take the extreme step was not yet known. The police will record the statement of his friends and family members after they arrive in Jaipur for further investigation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
