Drug control officer, Dheeraj Sharma and assistant drug controller Chetanya Prakash Panwar were demanding the bribe from a medical store owner for not lodging a case against him. The officials accused the medical store owner of discrepancies in maintaining records of drugs being sold at the store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DG, ACB BL Soni said that the complaint was verified under the supervision of ACB DIG, Udaipur Rajendra Prasad Goyal and ACB SP Dr Rajeev Pachar. When it was found genuine, a trap was laid by a team headed by ACB inspector Harishchandra Singh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cChetanya Prakash Panwar and Dheeraj Sharma asked the ACB complainant to go to the medical store of one Ankit Jain. Ankit worked as a middleman for the two officials. He runs a medical shop by the name of British Pharma in the Madhuban area of Udaipur. The officials asked the ACB complainant to hand over the money to Ankit,\u201d said DG Soni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that the two officials also reached Ankit\u2019s store when the ACB complainant was to hand over the bribe amount. They were arrested along with the middleman and booked under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
