She threw the money under a bed. Both have been booked under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act. Further investigation is going on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to DG, ACB BL Soni, the agency received a complaint from a PHED contractor. In the complaint, the contractor alleged that he had done various works for PHED and a payment of Rs 5.54 lakh was due to him. The executive engineer, identified as Ram Singh, was demanding Rs 70,000 from the ACB complainant to release the payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The complaint was verified by the ACB and when it was found genuine, a trap was laid by the ACB\u2019s Jhunjhunu unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ram Singh was caught red-handed accepting a bribe of Rs 60,000 from the ACB complaint at his residence on Wednesday. When the ACB team reached the spot, the engineer\u2019s wife took the money from her husband and threw it under the bed to hide it, DG Soni said.
