Jaipur: Amid reports that Covid-19 infection has peaked in the county, the Rajasthan government further relaxed restrictions in fresh guidelines issued on Friday. The night curfew will no longer be in force and the maximum number of people allowed to attend weddings and other social functions has been increased to 250.

As per the guidelines, a maximum of 250 people will be allowed to attend a public, social, political, sports, entertainment, educational, cultural or religious function. Before organizing such an event, the organizers will need to inform DoIT via its website covidinfo.rajasthan.gov.in or 181 toll-free number. The information can be submitted in the e-intimation section of the DoIT website.

A maximum of 250 people can now attend weddings in Rajasthan. It will be in addition to the band and musicians. The organizers will need to ensure that the guests in these functions follow Covid-19 guidelines including those related to masks, screening, vaccination, sanitization and social distancing.

The religious places across the state can now allow entry to devotees for prayers. The items used in prayers including garlands and prasad could be carried into these places.

The night curfew has been ended in the state. Earlier, there were restrictions on the movement of people and vehicles from 11 pm to 5 am every day.

The new guidelines would come into force from February 5.
