While this might be seen as a relief, experts suspect that the decline in the number of cases is due to the fact that fewer people are being tested for the virus in the state. Some areas in Jaipur including Jhotwara and Sodala continue to be the Covid-19 hot spots with the daily positive case count crossing 100.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jhotwara reported 166 new cases on Sunday followed by Sodala with 114 cases. Other worst affected areas include Tonk Road (88), Vaishali Nagar (88), Vidhyadhar Nagar (74), Vaishali Nagar (88), Malviya Nagar (61), Pratap Nagar (64), and Jagatpura (70).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Walled City areas including Ramganj which were a Covid-19 hot spot during the first wave are reporting comparatively fewer number of cases. Many experts say that it could be due to the herd immunity that occurred during the first wave. It might be protecting the residents of the Walled City areas now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The government-run hospitals in Jaipur are under strain. RUHS in Pratap Nagar is reporting an acute shortage of beds. Senior doctors said that while Oxygen supply has increased in the past few days, there are no beds to accommodate the patients.
