Jaipur: Covid-19 cases are increasing at an alarming rate across the state, but the situation is worse in Jaipur. Keeping this in view, the Rajasthan government is planning to impose even stricter restrictions on the people\u2019s movement during the ongoing lockdown. The government is planning to increase the number of micro-containment zones, ensure social distancing guidelines at grocery and vegetable shops, and deal with the violators of Covid-19 guidelines more strictly in the district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The orders in this regard might be issued soon as chief minister Ashok Gehlot is concerned that the infection rate has gone up to almost 30% in Jaipur. Despite all efforts, the rate of infection has not come down. This has prompted the government to impose stricter restrictions, health department officials said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gehlot has instructed the officials to chalk out a separate strategy for Jaipur. Jaipur has nearly 25% of the total active cases in the state. Out of 1.12 lakh Coronavirus active patients in the state, 51,000 are in the Jaipur district alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
More than 250 micro-content zones were earmarked in the state capital. When a neighborhood or street reports more than four cases, it\u2019s declared a micro-containment zone and the movement of people is restricted. The number of containment zones will be increased now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Jaipur, the cops will now be more vigilant about the crowds forming at grocery and vegetable shops. Police teams will be deputed in mandis. There are frequent complaints of overcrowding in fruit-vegetable mandis and non-compliance of social distancing, so now monitoring will be increased.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
