{"id":8626,"date":"2021-03-10T15:18:30","date_gmt":"2021-03-10T09:48:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pinkcitypost.com\/?p=8626"},"modified":"2021-03-10T15:18:32","modified_gmt":"2021-03-10T09:48:32","slug":"rajasthan-high-court-denies-bail-to-ias-officer-rao-in-corruption-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pinkcitypost.com\/rajasthan-high-court-denies-bail-to-ias-officer-rao-in-corruption-case\/","title":{"rendered":"Rajasthan high court denies bail to IAS officer Rao in corruption case"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Jaipur: The Rajasthan high court denied bail to the former Baran district collector and IAS officer Inder Singh Rao, who was arrested by the state Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in an alleged bribery case in December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rao was arrested following the arrest of personal assistant (PA) was caught taking a bribe of Rs 1.40 lakh for issuing NOC to a petrol pump. The ACB later found that PA had taken the bribe on behalf of Rao.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IAS was arrested and taken into custody for interrogation. The state government had suspended Rao, the ACB also filed a detailed charge sheet against the accused at a local court in Kota on February 5. The ACB said that their investigation into the case will continue even after the submission of the charge sheet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ACB said that sleuths were investigating Rao\u2019s possible collusion in other graft cases. He has been in jail since December.
