This will be the first paperless budget presentation in the assembly as Gehlot will read out the budget speech from a tablet device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the first budget of the Ashok Gehlot government post COVID-19 lockdown, so people are expecting the budget to focus on medical and health infrastructure as well as announcements for farmers keeping in view the ongoing farmers&#8217; agitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some major announcements including a reduction in DCL rates to give the real estate sector a boost, announcement of about 20,000 more government recruitments, and introduction of more COVID-19 test labs in the area state are expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The people are also expecting announcements regarding the extension of the second phase of Jaipur Metro. A detailed project report (DPR) is to be prepared for the extension work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Announcement of loan waiver and short-term crop loans for farmers is also on the cards. CM Gehlot had recently made it clear that the welfare of farmers will be a priority in the budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The budget will also likely make provisions for new community and primary health centres.
