Jaipur: As COVID-19 is spreading at an alarming rate in Rajasthan with the state reporting 3007 new cases on Saturday, the state government has decided to impose curfew in eight districts from 8 pm to 6 am. People have been asked not to venture out of their homes during this period in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Alwar, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Udaipur and Ajmer. Jaipur reported as many as 551 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday \u2013 the highest in a single day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government is of the view that many people are not following social distancing guidelines, causing coronavirus to spread at an alarming rate. The government has decided to increase the penalty for not wearing mask to Rs 500. Earlier it was Rs 200.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These decisions were taking in a cabinet meeting presided over by Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
