He accused his wife of encroaching upon his house and illegal stay. He approached additional SP Amrit Lal who demanded Rs 1 lakh to register a case and take action against the complainant\u2019s wife. The officer was paid this amount by the complainant,\u201d said DG, ACB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The officer added that the complainant\u2019s wife also approached Amrit Lal. \u201cThe add SP demanded Rs 2 lakh from her for not taking any action against her and helping the couple reach a compromise in the case. The ACB initiated a probe in the matter,\u201d said the officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said that an ACB team verified the complaint and laid a trap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ACB team arrested the middleman Anil Kumar who was taking the bribe of Rs 1 lakh out of the total Rs 2 lakh on behalf of add SP Amrit Lal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe bribe amount was recovered from Anil Kumar. Both Amrit Lal and Anil Kumar were arrested under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
