Jaipur: The Rajasthan government is planning to open all the heritage places, monuments and other tourist destinations including Amer Fort, Nahargarh Fort, Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Albert Hall for tourists in Jaipur and other cities of the state from June 1. An order in this regard has already been issued by the state archaeological department. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These monuments and heritage sites were closed for tourists across Rajasthan for the past two months after the state was put under lockdown to prevent spread of COVID-19. The tourists will be allowed to visit heritage places, monuments and other attractions in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur and several other places. The tourists will need to follow social distancing guidelines. Sources said that wildlife destinations such as Ranthambore National Park and Sariska Tiger Reserve will also be thrown open for domestic tourists soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first week of June, the monuments and heritage sites will be open every alternative day from 9 am to 2 pm. The entry will be free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the second week, the entry will be free and the entry time will be from 9 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to 5 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the third week, there will be a 50% discount on entry fee (till October 31) and the timing will be from 9 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to 5 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The light and sound show at Amer, elephant safari and night tourism will remain closed for now. A separate orders will be issued in this regard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tourism department is planning to promote online bookings so that visitors don\u2019t have to stand in queues outside booking windows. These places will be sanitized at least twice a day and the visitors will be allowed to enter in a group of 5-6 people at a time after a thermal scanning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The employees who live in containment areas will not turn up for duty at these tourist places. Spitting and consumption of tobacco products will be completely banned. Legal action will be taken against those who were found violating this guideline.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
