As the clock hit 5 in the afternoon, the people rang bells and banged on plates to honour the health workers who are risking their lives to cure Coronavirus patients. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roads wore a deserted look throughout Jaipur. The shops, malls, temples, railway station, and bus stand \u2013 everything was closed. People were clicking photographs of their colonies and sharing them on WhatsApp. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"750\" height=\"543\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pinkcitypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/banging-on-plates-xlxl22.jpg\" alt=\"people banging on plates \" class=\"wp-image-7959\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pinkcitypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/banging-on-plates-xlxl22.jpg 750w, https:\/\/www.pinkcitypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/banging-on-plates-xlxl22-300x217.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><figcaption>People banging on plates to honor health workers risking their lives to cure Coronavirus patients. <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>At 5 pm, people showed up in their balconies and terraces\nand banged on plates, showing their unity to defeat Coronavirus and prevent its\nspread. The doctors said that this may actually be effective in containing the effect\nof the virus in the state. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>About two dozen flights were cancelled. All the trains were\nalso cancelled since 4 am on Sunday. Since taxi drivers were supporting the Janata\ncurfew, many people who were trying to reach home after arriving in Jaipur were\nleft stranded. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The number of Coronavirus cases have reached 27 in Rajasthan.\nOf them 13 were reported in Bhilwara. All the exit and entry roads leading to\nBhilwara have been sealed. No vehicle movement is being allowed in and out of\nthe town. The administration has already clamped curfew and the process to screen\nover 6,000 people is going on.
