The decision was taken keeping in view the Coronavirus scare. Thousands of tourists were visiting these monuments and historic places. A archaeological department officer said that following the guidelines enforced to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, it was decided that it was not in the interest of public safety to allow tourists to visit these popular destination. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A notice posted outside Jantar Mantar read, \u201cEntry of tourists in Jantar Mantar will remain closed from March 18 to March 31 in order to take preventive measures against infection from Coronavirus \u2013 in reference to the advisory\/instructions\/guidelines given by the Indian government and chief minister of Rajasthan\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"500\" height=\"520\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pinkcitypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/janatar-mantar-closed-clxl2.jpg\" alt=\"Jantar Mantar closed \" class=\"wp-image-7944\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pinkcitypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/janatar-mantar-closed-clxl2.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.pinkcitypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/janatar-mantar-closed-clxl2-288x300.jpg 288w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><figcaption>Notice posted outside Jantar Mantar<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This will be yet another blow to the state\u2019s tourism\nindustry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe number of tourists had already deceased substantially. We\nfaced the same situation when there was Swine Flu outbreak in 2009. This time\nit is worse. We demand that the government should provide from taxes that are\nlevied on hotels and restaurants,\u201d said a tour operator. A memorandum in this\nregard was given to chief whip in the assembly Mahesh Joshi.
