The regulations have been issued under the Epidemic Diseases Act 1867. The district collectors have been given special powers to prevent the spread of the disease. They will be able to take action against those spreading rumours on social media and their directions with regard to medical and health issues will supersede other department officials. A notification in this regard has been issued. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ICMR has designated SMS Medical College (Jaipur), Dr\nSN Medical College (Jodhpur), SP Medical College (Bikaner) and Jhalawar Medical\nCollege as the authorized labs for screening Coronavirus cases and conducting\ntests. RNT Medical College (Udaipur) has been designated as the authorized centre\nfor collecting samples. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The district collectors will be able to utilize\nresources of government hospitals as well as private hospitals to prevent the spread\nof rumours. Collectors and chief medical and health officers in the districts\nwill be able to take necessary preventive measures. Those violating the\ninstructions of the officials empowered in the notification will be subject to\nlegal action under section 188 (45) of IPC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those arriving in Jaipur from abroad will need to\ninform the control room (0141-2225624) and other helpline numbers launched by\nthe medial and health department.
