Ratan Lal hailed from Tihawali village in Ramgarh area of Sikar district. His mother \u2013 Santara Devi \u2013 lost consciousness when the news of his death reached the village. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A family member said that Ratan Lal\u2019s younger brother Dinesh\nand his mother Santara Devi live in the native village. Ratan Lal\u2019s father\npassed away a couple of years ago. Ratan Lal is the eldest of three brothers. Dinesh\nis a farmer, while another brother Ramkant lives in Bangalore. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ratan Lal joined Delhi police in 1998 as a constable and\nthen was promoted to head constable. He is survived by two daughters Siddhi (12)\nand Kanak, son Ram (7) and wife Poonam. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cRatan Lal had spoken to his mother a couple of days ago and\npromised that he would visit her during Holi vacations.
