Jaipur: There will soon be a new destination for joggers and health enthusiasts in the city. The Rajasthan government will develop City Park in Mansarovar which will be bigger in size even the Central Park. The park is being developed on a land between VT Road and Arawali Marg. The officials said that the park will be thrown open for the public within the next two years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNearly 2.5 lakh people living in Mansarovar and other\nnearby colonies will have an easy access to the park. This will be a great addition\nto the area and we hope that it will become a favourite destination for people\nwho love greenery and want to lead an active life,\u201d said a senior Rajasthan Housing\nDevelopment official. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said that the park will feature nearly 10,000 plants and\ntrees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe jogging track will be nearly 3 km and the internal walkway\nwill be about 1.5 km. There will be CCTVs at all the six entrance and exit gates\nas well as the jogging tracks for monitoring and security,\u201d said the officer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Central Park jogging track is nearly 4-km long. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

UDH minister Shanti Dhariwal had announced the development\nof the park on December 4. \u201cThe project has got the nod from the chief minister.\nWe will help of the local people and organizations in achieving our target of\nplanting 10,000 trees before this monsoon season,\u201d said the officer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
