The government has increased the rates by Rs 220 per square feet. The per square feet rate has been increased to Rs 16,00 for the EWS and LIG flats under CM Awas Yojana. The rate was earlier Rs 1380 square feet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A senior UDH official said that the government has also\nrevised the Module 3B and 3C rules. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn a CM Awaas Yojana project, 70% of the total project area\ncan reserved for building and selling flats. Of the total area, 20% will go to\nEWS, 50% LIG and the remaining to builder flats. At least 5% area will be reserved\nfor open spaces or parks. And 1% will be reserved for shops or commercial establishments,\u201d\nsaid the officer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that currently the cost of a 320-square-feet flat under\nthe EWS category is Rs 5 lakh. The new price for the flat of the same size is\nnow about Rs 5.70 lakh. &nbsp;The price of LIG\nflats with a 450 square feet area has gone up to Rs 8.49 lakh from Rs 7.50 lakh.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Rajasthan government is lagging behind its target of affordable\nhousing in the state considerably.
