Jaipur: The Rajasthan government suspended six hospital\nofficials including two doctors for the alleged negligence that led to the death\nof an infant baby girl in Geetanand Childrne Hospital in Alwar. The baby was being\nkept in an electric warmer which malfunctioned. The baby sustained 70% burn\ninjuries and died on Wednesday. The government has also discontinued services\nof the electrician who was working on a contractual basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alwar CMHO Dr OP Meena was quoted as saying that two doctors\n\u2013 paediatrician Dr Mahesh Sharma and Medical Officer (MO) Dr Kripal Singh are\namong the six hospital employees who are being suspended by the Rajasthan government.\nOthers include FBNC unit incharge Sharda Sharma, nurse Snehlata Sharma and\nBharti Meena and ward boy Tara Meena. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Joint director of medial and health department Dr Suresh\nBhandari arrived in Alwar on Tuesday and took statement of all the people concerned.\nHe prepared an interim report and submitted it to the state government. The doctors\nand nursing staff were found negligent in the preliminary investigation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe government took action against the doctors on the basis\nof the report findings,\u201d said a senior official. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 15-day-old girl sustained severe burn injuries and was\nreferred to JK Lon Hospital in Jaipur in critical condition. She died on Wednesday\nmorning. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
