Salman Khan will need to personally appear before the\ncourt on March 7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The lawyers had filed an application on behalf of the actor\nseeking exemption from personal appearance. The prosecution lawyers sought time\nto submit a replay from the government on the application. The district and\nsessions court (Jodhpur district) said that the accused had not been appearing for\na long time, so he should make a personal appearance on March 7 mandatorily. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The CJM (Rural) court had acquitted Salman Khan in the Arms Act\ncase. The state government filed an appeal against the acquittal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the actor was convicted and sentenced to five years\nimprisonment in connection with nearly 20-year-old blackbuck poaching case. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Salman had a total of four separate cases registered against\nhim in connection with the poaching of blackbucks and chinkara.&nbsp; Two of these cases were registered under\nsection 51 of Wildlife (Protection) Act for poaching of two blackbucks in\nvillage Bhawad on 26-27 September, 1998 and one chinkara in Mathania (Ghoda\nFarm) on September 28-29, 1998.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In these two cases pertaining to the Wildlife Protection\nAct, the Rajasthan high court acquitted the actor in July, 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The third case is pertaining to the use of illegal arms for\npoaching.
