Jaipur: A special cases court in the city will likely pronounce judgement in the 11-year-old Jaipur bomb blast case on December 18. The serial blasts had left nearly 70 people dead and over 150 others wounded. The arguments in the case from the defense as well as the prosecution had come to an end recently. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A total of eight cases registered with Manak Chowk and\nKotwali police stations in connection with these blasts. The Rajasthan ATS\ninvestigated the case and filed chargesheet against the five accused who were\narrested. They are Shahbaj Hussain, Mohammed Saif, Sarvar Azami, Saif-ur-Rahman\nand Salman. Four others \u2013 Shadab, Aariz, Mohammed Khalid and Sajid are yet to\nbe tried for the terror act. Mohammed Aariz was arrested by Delhi police, but\nthe Rajasthan police didn\u2019t seek his remand from their Delhi counterpart. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
One third of the prosecution witnesses in the case are\npolice and administration officials. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Rajasthan high court had set up a special court for the\ntrial in the blast cases. The case was being heard about 5 days a week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
