Jaipur: Nearly 2500 resident doctors in Rajasthan will boycott\nwork at government hospitals in Rajasthan from 9 am on Tuesday. They said that\nthe government had promised to meet their demands when they staged an agitation\nrecently, but it has done nothing. So they have decided to boycott work again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The resident doctors had gone on strike last month also. They\nsaid that state health minister Dr Raghu Sharma and senior officials of the\nmedical and health department had promised to fulfil their demands, but nothing\nwas done in this direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The resident doctors said that they should either be provided\naccommodation in hostels or be given a housing allowance of at least 16% of the\nbasic salary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEven half the resident doctors of SMS Hospital have not\nbeen given accommodation in hostels. The fees has also been creased by 20-fold,\u201d\nsaid Dr Ramchandra Jangu, president of Jaipur Association of Resident Doctors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that there are only 300 security guards at SMS Hospital.\n\u201cAs per the government\u2019s promise, there should be at least 480 guards to ensure\nthe security of doctors,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The resident doctors of all medical colleges in various districts\nof Rajasthan including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Bikaner, Kota, Jhalawar will boycott\nwork from 9 am on Tuesday. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
