Jaipur: Over 20 tourists who were enjoying tiger safari at Ranthambore\nNational Park in Sawaimadhoipur district of Rajasthan panicked when a tigress\nchased the canter carrying them. The tigress ran after the canter for nearly 50\nmeters while the canter driver kept driving the vehicle in reverse. Some tourists\nshot a video of the incident with their mobile phone. It went viral on social\nmedia. The park authorities said that an investigation has been launched into\nthe incident. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The incident took place in Zone \u2013 1 of Ranthambore National\nPark on Saturday. According to preliminary reports, the driver stopped the tourist\ncanter very close to the tigress, popularly known as Sultana. The tourists excited\nover spotting the tigress started clicking her photographs. Suddenly the tigress\nadvanced towards the canter. The driver drove the vehicle in reserve, but the\ntigress increased her pace and started chasing it. The tourists panicked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sources said that the tigress chased the vehicle for nearly\n50 meters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere are reports that the canter driver stopped the vehicle\nvery close to the canter. We have launched an investigation into this,\u201d said a\npark officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
