Those who participate in the national games of Indian Olympics Federation or Para Olympics Committee will also get direct government jobs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ashok Gehlot government has made amendments to Rajasthan\nservice rules, 2013 in this regard. The eligibility criteria specified by various\ngovernments will however be applicable. Rajasthan has become the first state in\nthe country to offer jobs for just participating in the national Olympics games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The marks will be given on the basis of a sportsperson\u2019s achievement\ns at national and state level. The merit will be prepared on the basis of these\nmarks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rajasthan Sports Minister Ashok Chandna made this announcement\nin a press conference on Tuesday. He said that the state government already gives\n2% reservation to sportspersons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe government is recruiting 75,000 people, so 15,00 jobs will\ngo to sportspersons as per the current reservation rules. Now the sportspersons\nand those who have participated and won in national Olympics and School\nFederation of India games will also get government jobs,\u201d said Chandna. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that chief minister Ashok Gehlot got the bill amended\nwithin three months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe new service rules will encourage school children and\nyouths to participate in sports activities,\u201d said the minister. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that the government will introduce a new Sports Policy\nin Rajasthan. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jaipur: In a first of its kind initiative to encourage sports, the Rajasthan government has announced to give jobs to those who win medals at national level in sports tournaments organized by the School Federation of India.
