After doing away with the entry fee of Rs 80 rupees, the administration has decided to allow the parking of vehicles for up to 5 minutes. From November 1, the vehicles could be parked only for three minutes in the airport porch without any penalties. The decision was taken after the Rajasthan government made it clear that new parking rules were not practical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read Also: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinkcitypost.com\/new-parking-rates-for-jaipur-airport-all-you-need-to-know\/\"><em>New parking rates for Jaipur airport: All you need to know<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before November 1, the vehicles could take up to 8 minutes\nwhile dropping and picking passengers at the airport. \u201cThis led to traffic congestion\nin the porch area, so we decided to reduce the number of minutes to 3 on a trial\nbasis. But it came up that the passengers were facing problems as the time was\nnot sufficient so we have decided to increase it to 5 minutes,\u201d said a senior Jaipur\nairport official. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sources said the shortage of time led to heated arguments between\nthe airport staff and the vehicle owners. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The authorities had earlier said that a penalty of Rs 500\nwill be imposed on vehicles that stay on the porch for more than three minutes.\nEarlier, a four-wheeler was given a maximum time of eight minutes to enter and\nexit the airport barriers. This system has been discontinued. Instead, there\nwill be no restrictions with regard to the number of minutes. However, the\nvehicle that need to wait for a pick up or drop at the airport have to park\ntheir vehicles in the parking.
