Jaipur: A day after the police and administration announced that\nsection 144 of CrPC will be imposed in Jaipur on Saturday in the wake of\nAyodhya verdict, the schools declared leave. The parents who were preparing to\nsend their children school got messages from the schools at the last minute\nthat the schools would remain closed and no classes would be held.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Heavy security arrangements were put in place in all the\nsensitive places in Jaipur commissionerate and Jaipur rural areas. The Rajasthan government sounded alert and\nmore than 1.25 lakh police jawans have been put on alert. Chief minister Ashok\nGehlot took several meeting with senior police and administration officers and instructed\nthem to keep a close eye on the law and order situation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over 4,000 CCTVs have been connected to a control room in\nthe police headquarters in Jaipur. Policemen will keep a round-the-clock vigil\nthrough these CCTVs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A senior police officer said that they are keeping a tab on\nsocial media posts. \u201cWe are trying to identify WhatsApp groups involved in\ncirculating communally sensitive messages. They are being deleted. We are\nplanning to lodge FIRs against ground admins. We are appealing people to stay\naway from spreading rumours,\u201d said Jaipur police commissioner Anand Srivastava.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The commissioner held a meeting of senior police officers\nlate on Friday night and decided to impose section 144 of CrPC banning\ngathering of five or more people in the entire commissionerate area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
