Jaipur: The building which once housed police headquarters in the Walled City will be turned into the headquarters for the newly formed Heritage Jaipur Municipal Corporation. The existing JMC headquarters in Lalkothi will house the Greater Jaipur Municipal Corporation headquarters. The Rajasthan government on Wednesday divided the wards of the existing JMC between the two nearly formed municipal corporations. The self-governance department issued a notification in this regard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe building which housed PHQ is lying vacant. It will now house\nthe Heritage Jaipur Municipal Corporation,\u201d said a senior official. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
There will be a total of 100 wards in Heritage JMC. Of them\n11 wards reserved for SC category, four will be reserved for women candidates\nin the upcoming local bodies election. Three wards will be reserved for ST candidates.\nOf them, one will be reserved for a woman candidate. There will be a total of\n17 wards reserved for OBC category. Of them, six will be reserved for women\ncandidates. For the remaining 49 wards, 21 will be reserved for women candidates.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There will be a total of 150 wards under the Greater Jaipur\nMunicipal Corporation. Twenty wards will be reserved for SC. Of them, 7 for women.\nOF the 7 wards reserved for ST, two will be for women candidates. O the 32 OBC\nwards, 11 will be for women candidates.
