Jaipur: The BJP will not form an alliance with Hanuman\nBeniwal-led RLP for the local bodies election in Rajasthan. The decision was\ntaken in a meeting held to discuss the strategy for the elections at the BJP\nheadquarters in Jaipur on Tuesday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
State BJP president Satish Poonia said that the party has its\nown voter base in the state and there is no need to form an alliance with RLP\nor any other regional parties. Sources said that the decision was taken in the wake\nof Hanuman Beniwal\u2019s allegations that Vasundhara Raje helped the Congress candidate\nin Khinwsar by-election even where there was an alliance between the BJP and RLP.\nPoonia had rubbished these allegations and warned Beniwal not to make such\nbaseless statements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Poonia said that Hanuman Beniwal should use dignified\nlanguage against the BJP leaders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe made every possible effort to ensure the victim of the\nRLP candidate in Khinwsar,\u201d said Poonia. He added that Beniwal has sought an audience\nwith him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The RLP is celebrating its first foundation day on Tuesday. The\nBJP had formed an alliance with the RLP in the 2019 parliamentary elections and\ndidn\u2019t field its candidate for Nagaur constituency. Hanuman Beniwal had fought\nthe election as an NDA candidate and won by a huge margin. The alliance\ncontinued in the assembly by-election in Khinwsar. Again RLP candidate Narayan\nBeniwal \u2013 the brother of Hanuman Beniwal \u2013 won, but not with a good margin. It\nwas when Beniwal alleged that former chief minister Raje had left no stone unturned\nto ensure the defeat of his brother and went to the extent of roping in Yunus Khan\nto help the Congress candidate. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
