Jaipur: The Ashok Gehlot cabinet on Monday decided to discontinue pension benefits to MISA detainees introduced during the previous BJP-led government. The cabinet has repealed the Rajasthan Democracy Fighter Samman Nidhi Rules, 2008. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The government\nsaid that it was a financial burden. By repealing the act, the government has\nreduced the financial burden on the treasury by about Rs 40 crore annually,\naccording to cabinet minister Shanti Dhariwal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the\nEmergency imposed by the then prime minister Indira Gandhi-led Congress\ngovernment between 1975 and 1977, thousands were detained across the country\nunder MISA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The pension\nscheme for MISA detainees was started by the then Vasundhara Raje-led BJP\ngovernment in 2008. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Congress government\nhas now discontinued the pension benefits by repealing the Act. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The state\ncabinet on Monday approved proposals for relaxation of various service rules in\nthe interest of employees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The proposal\nto include the entry of posts of semi-skilled mechanic and unskilled mechanic\ncreated in the Civil Aviation Department in the Rajasthan Civil Services\n(Revised Pay) Rules-2017 has been approved, according to a press release issued\nby the DIPR Rajasthan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With this,\nthese posts will get the benefit of the seventh pay scale. Along with this, the\ncabinet discontinued the post of Psychological Counselor in the Department of\nMedical and Health from the Rajasthan Medical and Health Subordinate Services\nRules-1965, due to inclusion of this post in the state service in the Rajasthan\nCivil Services (Revised Pay) Rules-2017. The amendment is approved. After this\namendment, officers of this post will get Level-14 salary in the Pay Matrix. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The cabinet\nhas approved the proposal to amend the grade pay of Assistant Statistics\nOfficer (Agriculture) and Statistics Assistant Agriculture Department in\nRajasthan Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules-2008. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With this,\nthe Assistant Statistics Officer and Statistics Assistant appointed in\nAgriculture Department will be able to get the same pay scale as Assistant Statistical\nOfficer and Statistics Assistant of Economic and Statistics Department. The\ncabinet has also approved the proposal to amend the Rajasthan Legislative\nAssembly Secretariat (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules-1992, for\nthis, two years in place of three years of work experience for the promotion of\nSection Officer from Assistant Section Officer in Rajasthan Legislative\nSecretariat. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
