The government is planning to increase the\nprice of VIP numbers by almost six times. RTO had sent a proposal to the\nRajasthan transport department in this regard. The proposal is under\nconsideration at the finance department currently and sources said that the increase\nin VIP numbers is almost certain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, the VIP number \u2013 0001 \u2013 was earlier priced at\nRs 1 lakh. After the increase the price will go up to Rs 6 lakh. This is the\nbase price for this number. If there is more than one buyer, the number will be\nauctioned. The number will be sold to the highest bidder. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere has been a lot of demand for VIP car registration\nnumbers, so we have decided to increase the base price for these numbers. It will\nboost the transport department\u2019s revenue. The auction process will still be in\nplace,\u201d said a senior RTO officer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides, only a few series of numbers are categorized as VIP\nnumbers currently, but more numbers will be included in this category. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the current series , VIP numbers such as 0001, 0003,\n0005, 0007, 0009, 0011, 0786 will cost you Rs 1 lakh. If you apply for the same\nregistration numbers in the future series, the price will increase. In the next\nseries, you will pay Rs 2 lakh. In the third series, the price will be Rs 3\nlakh. In the fourth series, the price will be Rs 4 lakh and in the fifth next\nseries, the price will be Rs 5 lakh. In the sixth next series, the price will\nbe Rs 6 lakh. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The base price for VIP numbers such as 0002, 0004, 0006,\n0008, 0010 and numbers like 555, 777 and 999 will be priced at Rs 50,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The price will increase by Rs 50,000 based on which series\nof number you want to buy. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jaipur: Buying VIP registration numbers for your car or bike is going to get a costlier now.
