The elderly people welcomed\nthe police\u2019s move and said that the move shows the humanitarian side of the\npolice force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A growing population of elderly people living alone in the\nstate \u2013 particularly Jaipur \u2013 has become a cause for concern for the police and\nadministration as these people are often vulnerable to crimes. The cases of crime\nagainst elderly people are on the rise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In such a scenario, the app was the need of the hour. DGP\nBhupendra Singh inaugurated the app on the occasion of International Day of\nOlder Person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through this app, the elderly will be able to seek help from\nthe police in an emergency. The app will enable them to seek help if they are\ngoing through any legal, pension or health-related problem. DGP Bhupendra Singh\nsaid that the elders will can download the app and register themselves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The BETA version of the app has been launched. The app will\nbe reviewed from time to time and the bugs will be fixed, he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Senior Citizen Security app can be downloaded from the Google\nPlay Store.
